Al Balkhi Journal of Islamic Psychology

The Al Balkhi Journal of Islamic Psychology is dedicated to understanding Islamic psychology. It is not strictly an academic journal (with peer review and scientific experimentation) nor a blog. Instead, it serves as a platform for scholars, practitioners, and students of Islamic psychology to share rigorous yet accessible insights. It operates on the premise that Islamic psychology neither simply Islamizes Western psychology nor Westernizes Islamic teachings and spiritual knowledge. Rather, it offers guidance rooted in Islam’s comprehensive life model, ethical teachings, compassion, sense of justice, call for beauty and goodness, and spiritual strength that harmonizes body and soul.

Each article published aims to offer insights on navigating the spiritual path to healing, catering to those seeking tranquility amidst anxiety, fear, and pain. Contributions from scholars, practitioners, and students of psychology are encouraged, with content expected to be informative, innovative, and written in a clear style accessible to all audiences.

The Journal will be released in December 2024 – January 2025, in sha Allah.
